Union Public Service Commission invites applications ONLINE from interested Candidates for the following Posts.  These Posts are in Group ‘A’ in Grade-V of Junior Time Scale JTS of Central Labour Service CLS. Organized Service. The posts are permanent.

No. of Posts : 57  (UR – 29,  OBC – 19,  SC – 06, ST – 03)

Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 PB-3 Rs. 5,400 Grade Pay Total emoluments excluding T.A. HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 36,120/- p.m. approximately

Qualification : i)  Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.  ii)  Diploma in Social Work/Labour Welfare/Industrial Relations/Personnel Management/Labour Law from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification : Degree in law from a recognized University

Age Limit : AGE Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time.

Probation : Two years

Selection Procedure : A Written Objective Type Recruitment Test with multiple choice questions shall be conducted followed by Interview for selection.

Syllabus : The subjects of the Test will be as follows : a) Trade Union Movement.  b) Social Work & Social Security laws. c) Industrial Relations.  d) Human Resource Development. e) Principal of Natural Justice. f) Trade Union Act. g) Labour Welfare. h) Labour Laws: Industrial Disputes Act, 1947; Payment of Wages Act, 1936; Minimum Wages Act, 1948; Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970; Child Labour (P&R) Act, 1986; Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972; Building & other Construction Workers (RE & CS) Act, 1996. i) Current Events. j) Indian Constitution. k) General Mental Ability.

Note : i) The test will be of two hours duration and the medium of the question papers will be both Hindi and English.  ii) There will be penalty for wrong answers. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one – third of the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question.

Application fee : Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.  No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community.

How to Apply : Candidates must apply online through the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in.  Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected. After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are not required to send any Document or Certificate or Printout of Application initially to the Commission, However, he/she should essentially retain the Printout of the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) finally submitted for submission to the Commission along with relevant Documents/ Certificates on demand, in case he/she qualifies in the Recruitment Test.
