Staff Selection Commission – Offline – Online – Application
Staff Selection Commission will hold on 14/04/2013 and 21/04/2013, an open competitive examination for recruitment to the following posts in various Ministries/Departments by selecting/ screening the candidates for the Main Examination. The Combined Graduate Level (Tier-II) Examination-2013 is likely to be held on 15/09/2012 and 16/09/2012 :
I- Posts for which Interview cum Personality Test is prescribed :
1. Assistant- Group ‘B’ Posts

10. Auditor / Accountant/ Junior Accountant – Group ‘ C ‘ Posts

11. Upper Division Clerk / Tax Assistant / Compiler / Sub-Inspector – Group ‘C’ Posts
Department / Ministry / Office : Central Govt. Offices/Ministries other than CSCS cadres, CBDT, CBEC, Registrar General of India, Central Bureau of Narcotics
Pay Scale : Rs. 5200 – 20200/- + GP Rs.2400/-
Minimum Qualification : i) Compiler : Bachelor‟s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.
ii) Statistical Investigator Grade – II : Bachelor‟s Degree with Statistics as one of the main subjects OR Bachelor‟s Degree with Mathematics( with Statistics as a papers studied in one year/two years/all three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects OR Bachelor‟s Degree with Economics ( with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects OR Bachelor‟s Degree with Commerce (with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects.
iii) All Other Posts : Bachelor‟s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
iv) For posts of Assistants(CSS), Computer Proficiency has also been prescribed as an Essential Qualification.
Age Limit : i) 18-27 years as on 1st January 2013 for Inspector of Income Tax/ Inspector (Central Excise)/ Inspector (Preventive Officer)/ Inspector (Examiner)/ Inspector of Posts / Ass.. Enforcement Officer and Divisional Accountants / Auditors /UDCs/ Tax Assistants
ii) 20 to 27 years as on 1st January 2013 for posts of Assistants and Sub-inspectors in CBI.
iii) 26 years for Statistical Investigators Gr.II
Upper Age Relaxations (for all the above Posts) : SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PH – 10 years.
Note : All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for appearing at the Interview/Skill Test/ Computer Proficiency Test will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all the three years of Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/ Certificate of Graduation in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before the 1st January,2013,failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission.
Application fee : Rs. 100/- for General / OBC Candidates. NO fee for SC/ST/PH/Women and Ex-Serviceman.
How to Pay the Application fee :
i)Off-Line Applications (Application format) : Candidates should pay the fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)”only. .CRFS stamps are available at all Departmental Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled at the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp.
ii) For ONLINE Application : The candidates submitting their applications On-Line should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India Challan or through NET banking.
How to Apply : Candidates may apply either ONLINE or OFFLINE.
OFFLINE Application : Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed format. A candidate must indicate the Centre in the Application Form in which he/she desires to take the Tier I examination. The Commission will allot the candidates to the same or nearby centre in Tier II Examination. A candidate must submit his/her application only to the concerned Regional/Sub Regional Office of the Commission under whose jurisdiction the Centre selected by him / her falls. Application received in any other Regional/Sub Regional Office of the Commission will be rejected summarily. ONLINE Application : Candidates are required to apply through the Official Website of Staff Selection Commission. After successful Registration ONLINE, a Registration Number will be generated, which the candidates have to preserve for future reference / Communication with the commission. Candidates are not required to send Print Out of the Online application to the Commission at this State.
